KOVACEVIC BREAKS FANSHAWE RECORD FOR GOALS IN A SEASON

LONDON, Ont. - On Wednesday night, Fanshawe Falcons women's soccer player Jade Kovacevic broke the Fanshawe record for most goals in a season, when she scored versus the Lambton Lions to give her 14 goals on the year. The previous record of 13 goals in a season was set by Melanie Moulton in 1997-98.

Kovacevic is currently in seventh place on Fanshawe women's soccer career goal scoring list. On Sept. 19, she tied the Fanshawe record for most goals scored in a single game (Katie Parker, 2014-15 and Moulton, 1997-98) when she netted five against Mohawk College.

She continues to lead the OCAA in scoring, averaging 2.8 goals per game. She is currently on pace to break the OCAA record for most goals in a season (20).

Fanshawe's next game will take place at home on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 12 p.m., when they play the Redeemer Royals (0-5-0). The last time these two teams met on Sept. 17 in Hamilton, Fanshawe won 5-0.
