CENTENNIAL 3, DURHAM 1

OSHAWA, Ont. - The Durham College women's soccer season came to a close on Tuesday night with a 3-1 home loss to the Centennial Colts.

With a 4-6-2 record, the Lords finish in fourth place in the OCAA eastern conference. The fifth place Fleming Knights earned an automatic bye to the finals as hosts of the OCAA championship, bumping the Lords from the postseason picture.

Tuesday night against the Colts, the Lords got off to a great start as Taylor Ford (Brooklin, Ont.) scored her second goal of the season at the 26-minute mark.

Five minutes later, Centennial would strike back as Daniela Calleri scored the Colts first goal of the game.

The Colts would come out of the gates flying in the second half as Nicole Warren scored in the 46th minute. Ten minutes later, Calleri added an insurance marker as she netted her second goal of the night.

Centennial outshot Durham 9-5 in the win.

Durham and Centennial split their regular season series with each team picking up a victory on the road. Both teams did not qualify for the postseason.

With the conclusion of the outdoor season, Durham will now turn their attention to the indoor season that is scheduled to begin in the new year.
