ANCASTER, Ont. - The visiting Fanshawe Falcons rallied with two second half goals from Jade Kovacevic and defeated the Mohawk Mountaineers 2-1 in Ontario Colleges Athletic Association women's soccer at the Redeemer Sports Complex in Ancaster on Saturday.

The Mountaineers scored in the first 15 minutes, as a corner kick by Taylor Campbell (Tillsonburg Glendale) somehow managed to find its way into the Falcons goal.

The first half had a few sprinkles, but it rained steadily in the second half, and at 55 minutes, Kovacevic equalized for the Falcons.

Ten minutes later, a long, high ball was played into the Mohawk end, and Kovacevic won the race and headed over Mohawk goalkeeper Laura Blackburn (Richmond Hill Langstaff) for what proved to be the winning goal.

Mohawk saw its record go to 2-1, while Fanshawe improved to 3-0.
