MOHAWK 6, REDEEMER 0

ANCASTER, Ont. - The Mohawk women's soccer team exploded for all of its goals in the second half as they defeated the Redeemer Royals 6-0 in OCAA action at Redeemer on Friday.

Despite having chances in the first 45 minutes, the Mountaineers had nothing to show for it. And it remained goalless until the 62nd minute when Keigan Curran scored the first of her three goals. Two minutes later, Curran set up Gabrielle Krebs to double the margin.

Krebs then latched on a nice through ball from Sarah Incretolli and fired one off the post and in, for her second goal.

In the 85th minute, Danielle Datskiw got to a loose ball and hammered it home.

Curran got her second and third goals at the 88th and 90th minutes. In fact her last goal was the last kick of the game.

Laura Blackburn and Elissa Bernacci each played 45 minutes to share the shutout.

Mohawk improved to 4-3 and sits third in the West Division. Redeemer fell to 2-5.
