CARINO LEADS WEST TO WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL ALL-STAR WIN

CARINO LEADS WEST TO WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL ALL-STAR WIN

ETOBICOKE, Ont. - Humber setter Nina Carino was named the MVP of the champion West Division squad at the OCAA Women's Volleyball All Star game. The match, which was won by the West in 4 straight sets, was played at the Humber College Athletic Centre on Saturday.

The West Division, which featured Carino and National Player of the Year Landis Doyle, had to work extra time in two of the sets as the East Division team forced these sets to be decided in extra points.

Normal volleyball games are a best of 5 format, but the all star game allows for a minimum of 4 sets to allow for all players to play.

The set scores were 26-24, 25-9, 29-27 and 25-18.

The East Player of the Game was Emily Graham, of Algonquin.
