Landis Doyle has been elected the 2011 CCAA Female Athlete of
the Year Across All Sports. Doyle is team captain of the Humber
College Hawks women’s volleyball team. She was recently named
the 2011 CCAA Women’s Volleyball Player of the Year.
“Landis Doyle had an outstanding season,” says Bernie
Masterson, CCAA executive member. “She won absolutely
everything.”
During the 2010-11 CCAA volleyball season, Doyle received
recognition for her achievements in both athletics and
academics:

- 2011 CCAA Women’s Volleyball Player of the Year
- 2011 CCAA Women’s Volleyball All Canadian
- 2011 CCAA Women’s Volleyball Championship Tournament First
Team All-Star
- 2011 OCAA Women’s Volleyball Player of the Year (2nd
time)
- 2011 OCAA Women’s Volleyball First Team All-Star
- 2011 OCAA Women’s Volleyball Championship Tournament
MVP
- 2011 Humber Female Athlete of the Year (2nd time)
- 2011 Humber Athletics Hall of Fame Inductee
2011 Athletic Achievements:
- All-Time OCAA Women’s Volleyball Scoring Record Holder
- All-Time OCAA Women’s Volleyball Service Aces Record
2011 Academic Awards:
- 2011 SIRC-CCAA Academic All Canadian
- 2011 OCAA Academic All-Star
Doyle studies graphic design, volunteers at Humber sport clinics
and referees OVA (Ontario Volleyball Association) exhibition
tournaments.
The Humber College Hawks women’s volleyball team also had an
impressive season; they are 2011 OCAA provincial champions with a
regular season record of 21-1, and went on to tie for fifth place
at the CCAA Women’s Volleyball Championship.
The other nominees for 2011 CCAA Female Athlete of the Year Across
All Sports were Marie Belanger of Collège Édouard
Monpetit, Andria Carlyon of Grande Prairie Regional College, RuiLin
Huang of Douglas College, Andrea Price of Mount Royal University
and Liliane Sparks of Fanshawe College.
