GEORGIAN WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL SEASON ENDS WITH LOSS TO NIAGARA

ANCASTER, Ont. - For the Georgian Grizzlies women's volleyball team it was an abrupt end to a season filled with a ton of success.

After an upset loss at the hands of Durham in their opening match of the 2015 OCAA Women's Volleyball Championship, the Grizzlies set their sights on a possible bronze medal.

To do so they would need to defeat the Niagara Knights, who were another top-seeded team upset in their first game, in the bronze quarter-final match.

In the end it wasn't the Grizzlies tournament as they fell 3-0 (26-24, 25-23 and 25-11) for the second straight game.

Fifth-year veteran Hannah Campbell (Midland, Ont.) earned player of the game honours, in what will be her final game for the Grizzlies, leading the team with eight kills.

The Grizzlies will take away many of the positives from a season which saw the team win the east division with a 16-2 regular season record and build toward next season.
