WELLAND, Ont. - The Mohawk women's volleyball team came back from the Niagara Knights tournament with the bronze medal.

The Mountaineers defeated host Niagara 25-13, 25-16, 25-9 in the third-place match on Sunday.

Tournament All-Star Kirsten Bialachowski, Sarah Bate and Amanda Kuiper all had 10 offensive points or more.

In pool play, Mohawk was swept by Humber in the opening match on Saturday morning but bounced back in the afternoon to beat Canadore 3-0.

Sunday, they topped George Brown 3-1 to advance to the bronze medal game.
