HUMBER 3, ST. CLAIR 1

WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair College women's volleyball team hosted the top ranked Humber Hawks on Saturday afternoon at the SportsPlex.

The Saints played a solid match but suffered a tough 3-1 loss. St. Clair got off to a great starting taking the first set 25-17 over the Hawks. However, Humber bounced back in to win the second set  25-18 and the third set 25-17. The Hawks put the game away in the fourth set winning 25-17.

Humber now has a season record of 14-0 and has a 123-game winning streak in the OCAA as well. Humber has only lost three sets all season including the first set loss to the Saints. Humber is ranked first in Ontario and second in Canada. Angela Evans (Panama) had a great match for St. Clair with 10 kills, two stuff blocks, two service aces and three digs.

With the loss St. Clair fell to 9-4 on the season and are in third place in the OCAA West Division. The Saints are ranked fourth in the OCAA.

The Saints are next in action at the SportsPlex on Sunday, Jan. 29 at 1 p.m. when they host the Sheridan Bruins.
