HUMBER 3, ST. CLAIR 0

WINDSOR, Ont. - The Humber Hawks proved that they are still the number one threat in the OCAA Women's Volleyball Championship presented by belairdirect being held at St Clair College's SportsPlex.

The final match score of 3-0 was deceiving in this one though. The Saints had significant leads late in both sets one and two but could not put the Hawks away. Humber played well late and refused to give up. The Saints battled hard in all three sets but could not take one from the Hawks. The set scores for Humber were 25-22, 27-25, and 25-23.

The Hawks remain undefeated on the season after going 18-0 in the regular season and 2-0 in the playoffs. Humber are ranked No. 1 in Ontario and No. 2 in Canada while the Saints are ranked No. 6 in Ontario.

The Player of the Game for Humber was Gabie Miletic who spread the ball around well with 25 assists along with four kills and one service ace. Brynne Spence-Coleman led the Hawks offensively with nine kills and two service aces.

St. Clair's player of the game was Taylor Fitzgerald who had a solid all around match. The Saints were led offensively by Angela Evans who had 11 kills, two service aces and one stuff block.

Humber now advance to the gold medal game against the Durham Lords on Sunday at 5 p.m. while St. Clair will contend for the bronze against Niagara at 2:30 p.m.
