CCAA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP PREVIEW

The country’s best collegiate cross country runners will take to the starting line of the 5th annual Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) Cross Country Running Open Championships. Grande Prairie Regional College are in the final stages as they prepare to host this year’s event in Grande Prairie, Alberta from November 9-10, 2007. The 2007 CCAA Cross Country Running Open will be taking place at the Wapiti Nordic Ski Centre, which is located approximately 8km South of Grande Prairie Regional College.

The 2007 CCAA Cross Country Running Open Championships’ Opening Ceremony will kick-off the 2-day event on Friday, November 9th at 7:00 p.m. at Grande Prairie Regional College. Saturday will begin with the Women’s 5km Race at 12:30 pm followed by the Men’s 8km Race at 1:30 pm.

This is the first CCAA Cross Country Running Open Championships where all 5 Conferences are being represented. The following institutions have confirmed that they will be traveling to Grande Prairie for this year’s event:
