HUMBER TO HOST 2013 CCAA CROSS COUNTRY NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

The Humber Hawks of Toronto, Ont. will host the 2013 CCAA Cross-Country Running National Championship on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013.

"We're proud of our ability to host quality national championships that athletes, coaches and fans alike remember long after the event has finished," says Doug Fox, athletic director of Humber College. "We look forward to hosting our first ever CCAA Cross Country Running National Championship!"

Men and women's races are set to take place in the Humber Arboretum, a 250-acre oasis featuring public gardens, meadows, forests, wetlands, wildlife and lakeside waterways. The Humber Hawks cross-country team has been using the Arboretum as its training ground for the last seven years, and will host an Invitational Cross-Country Running race in October 2012.

The national championship event will also include an athletes' dinner and post-race awards banquet.

This fall's 2012 CCAA Cross-Country Running National Championship will be hosted by the Champlain St Lambert Cavaliers in St. Lambert, Que. on Saturday, November 10, 2012.
