ST. CLAIR SAINTS READY FOR CROSS COUNTRY PROVINCIALS

WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair College cross country team departs today for Ancaster, Ont., and the OCAA provincial championships hosted by Redeemer University College at the Dundas Conservation Authority on Saturday, Oct. 26.

For the first time in many years the Saints boast both a men's and women's team entry against 18 other colleges from across the province. In addition, the St. Clair women's team is ranked No. 6 in the most recent CCAA national poll.

Second-year runner Kodi Morgan and fourth-year participant Donia Oumesrour are both products of Windsor's Riverside High School and transferred from the University of Windsor in recent years and will threaten at the top of the women's field. Amanda Matthews (Windsor, Ont./Belle River), Emily Ditty (Tecumseh, Ont./St. Anne) and Alexa Ouellette (Windsor, Ont./St. Joseph's) round out the women's team for St. Clair and are looking for their first provincial championship since 1998.

On the men's side, 43-year old John Trojansek (Windsor, Ont./Assumption) leads a St. Clair team that may threaten for a medal at the provincials. St. Clair's last medal at OCAA's was a bronze back in 2005. Jordan Langridge (Brighton, Ont./East Northumberland), Matt Ward-Trymbulak (Amherstburg, Ont./General Amherst), Chris Caddey (Dorchester, Ont./Lord Dorchester) and Forest Frair (Windsor, Ont./Harrow) are the remaining members of the Saints men's team.
