ETOBICOKE, Ont. - The St. Clair College cross country team departs today for the 2013 New Balance Toronto Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Men's and Women's Cross Country Championship hosted by Humber College this weekend in Etobicoke, Ont.
Having qualified both a men's and women's team for the first time the Saints are looking forward to Saturday's meet being run at the Humber Arboretum that will feature 254 runners from 35 schools across Canada.
The Saints women's team who won their first OCAA provincial championship since 1998 are led by Donia Oumesrour (Windsor, Ont./Riverside) and Kodi Morgan (Windsor, Ont./Riverside) but are complemented by Amanda Matthews (Windsor, Ont./Belle River), Emily Ditty (Tecumseh, Ont./St. Anne) and Alexa Ouellette (Windsor, Ont./St. Joseph's).
Omesrour along with Morgan were both named to the OCAA first-team with Matthews being named to the second-team. Oumesrour was named CCAA all-Canadian for her fine season that included a fourth-place finish at the Fanshawe Invitational and a fifth-place finish at the Humber Invitational.
On the men's side 43-year old John Trojansek
(Windsor, Ont./Assumption) led the St. Clair to an OCAA bronze
medal with a seventh-place finish helping the Saints to its first
OCAA team medal since 2005. Jordan Langridge
(Brighton, Ont./East Northumberland), Chris Caddey
(Dorchester, Ont./Lord Dorchester), Matt
Ward-Trymbulak (Amherstburg, Ont./General Amherst) and
Forest Frair (Windsor, Ont./Harrow) round out the
men's team. Trojansek and Langridge were both recognized as members
of the OCAA second-team while third-year Saints coach Andy
Hahn was named OCAA coach of the year.

The 5 km women's race will start at 11 a.m. with the men's 8 km
