FANSHAWE MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY TEAM REPEATS AS NATIONAL CHAMPIONS

LONDON, Ont. - The Fanshawe men's cross country team put on another dominant performance today and were crowned the 2013 CCAA men's cross country national champions.

The team was led by 2013 all-Canadian Clint Smith, who finished second overall, less than four seconds back of the leader. Falcons Josh Lumani and Daniel Bright finished 12th and 14th respectively, bringing Fanshawe's team total to 39, well below the 94 points of the second place team.

Smith was named to the CCAA all-tournament first team, while teammates Lumani and Bright were named to the CCAA all-tournament second team.

The other three Falcon runners included Luke Deighan (21st), Sean Coleshill (22nd) and Matt Barnett (37th).

The men's team has now won back-to-back national championships and has been on the national podium for nine consecutive years.
