Men's Volleyball Overpower Fleming Phoenix in Straight-Sets

Peterborough, ON -- The Georgian Grizzlies showcased a dominant performance against the Fleming Phoenix on November 23, 2024, sweeping the match 3-0 at the Peterborough Sport & Wellness Centre. The Grizzlies were clinical, winning each set decisively with scores of 25-15, 25-11, and 25-22. Their offensive efficiency was evident, with a hitting percentage of .345 compared to Fleming’s .183. Aidan Watson (Barrie, ON) led the way with a stellar .625 hitting percentage and contributed 7 points, while Kaleb Cole (Stratford, ON) added a team-high 12 points, including 8 kills. Setter Ethan Eiselt-Rolfe (Barrie, ON) orchestrated the attack with 28 assists and chipped in 2 service aces.

Defensively, the Grizzlies were solid at the net, with 9 blocks, including key contributions from Gage McCurdy (Burlington, ON) and Christopher De Bruyn (London, ON). On the serve, the Grizzlies tallied 9 aces, keeping the Phoenix on the defensive throughout.
