WELLAND,ON - In a closely contested contest between evenly matched teams, the Lambton Lady Lions came out victorious at the Welland Athletic Centre, beating the Niagara Lady Knights 64-59. After trailing in the 1st quarter, the Lions came alive, outscoring the Knights 25-12 in the 2nd to take a lead they wouldn't relinquish. 

The Lions, who moved to 4-5 with the win, received strong contributions up and down the lineup. Yasmine Taylor was the top scorer with 16 points, while Lauren Van Leerzem and Melissa Ellis both chipped in with 9 rebounds. Madisyn Campbell played strong off the bench, scoring 11 points for the second unit. 

The Lady Lions pick up their season at home on January 13 against the Fanshawe Falcons. Game time is 6PM.
