ST. CLAIR 96, LAMBTON 78

WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair men's basketball team moved their OCAA West Division record to 3-0 after a 96-78 win in their league home opener over Lambton College (Sarnia) Friday night at the SportsPlex.

The Saints were comfortably in control from the outset in front of good home crowd quickly building a 28-18 lead by the end of the first quarter. By halftime that lead grew to 46-31 and allowed St. Clair to get action for each and every one of their 14 dressed players holding their largest lead (64-38) in the third quarter.

Lambton made a nice run in the fourth quarter cutting the deficit to just 10 points with about five minutes to play, but the Saints responded restoring order to secure the win.
 
A balanced scoring attack saw St. Clair get six players into double figures led by Anthony Limbombe (Windsor, Ont./St. Anne) who recorded a team-high 17 points to go with six rebounds.  Veteran point guard Charles Baskin (Detroit, Mich.) scored 14 points while dishing out six assists. 

Lance Drummonds (Hamilton, Ont.) had 13 points adding seven rebounds with Will Lara-Caston (Windsor, Ont./JL Forster) and Jermaine Lynch (Windsor, Ont./JL Forster) each scoring 12 points.  Gil Atencio (Panama City, Panama) chipped in with 10 points and six rebounds for the Saints.
 
Lambton's Branden Padgett (Detroit, Mich.) scored a game-high 35 points in the loss.
