ST. CLAIR 86, LAMBTON 53

SARNIA, Ont. - The St. Clair College women's basketball team made it four league wins in a row with an 86-53 win at Lambton College in Sarnia, Ont., on Friday night.

The Saints put up 27 points in the opening quarter allowing them to cruise to a 50-26 halftime lead. With the result in hand, St. Clair was able to spread the ball around with eight players sharing the scoring load and converting baskets. The Saints held a 58-40 advantage in rebounding, cashing in on 21 second-chance points while shooting nearly 50 per cent in the game.

St. Clair was led by Shannon Kennedy (Windsor, Ont./St. Joseph's) who scored 23 points adding eight rebounds and three steals. Torrie Handsor (Wallaceburg, Ont.) recorded another double-double scoring 15 points and pulled down 10 rebounds with a pair of blocked shots for good measure.

Saints rookie guard Elena Caldarelli (Tecumseh, Ont./St. Anne) also reached double figures with 11 points off the bench to go with seven rebounds and four assists. Aleah Marton (Amherstburg, Ont./General Amherst) filled the stat sheet with eight points, nine rebounds, seven assists, three steals and two blocks.

Lambton's Madisyn Campbell (Sarnia, Ont.) scored a game-high with 26 points in the loss.
