(London, Ontario) – The No. 14 Nationally ranked Falcons (14-5, 2nd West) beat the Canadore Panthers (8-11, 7th East) in four sets on Saturday afternoon in the Nest.

The Falcons took care of business in set one. Daniel Ridings (St. Catharines, ON) came out of the gate swinging and recorded a kill assisted by Matt Stechnicki (Guelph, ON). Ridings had five kills and one ace in the set, leading the Falcons to a 25-17 win after the first.

After a slow start in the second set, Zack Admans (St. Thomas, ON) came up big for the Birds with a huge block. Consecutive kills by Alain Pineault (Windsor, ON) gave Fanshawe a late 24-21 lead over Canadore, but the visitors fought back and took set two by a score of 26-24.

Set three was dominated by the Birds. Third-year Tanner Paterson (Baden, ON) and Jayden Crowther (London, ON) assisted in Fanshawe's strong run. The Falcons consistently slammed the ball at the feet of their opponents and won the third set, 25-10.

The final set also went to the Falcons who claimed the match after a 25-22 set four triumph. Ridings and Admans led Fanshawe with 15 points. Paterson recorded 14 points in the match and Stechnicki managed 37 assists and 11 digs.
