TOUGH FINAL FOR THE LANCERS

The Lancers women's basketball team was in action Wednesday against the St.Lawrence Surge in a tightly contested defensive battle.

The first quarter went the way of the Lancers as they lead going into the second 19-13 as the points were almost spread evenly between the players. The second quarter was back and fourth with Ali Alexander and Cianah Miller having an outstanding quarter. Loyalist kept the lead going into half 39-36. The third quarter did not get off to the best start for the Lancers as it was six minutes before the Lancers were able to get back on the board. Defence and fouls were the story of the third quarter. The Lancers were able to come back making it 52-52. The fourth quarter was back and fourth to start but three players fouling out lead to difficulty for the Lancers. The Surge were able to best the Lancers 69-62. The Women played a great game and look to get back in the win column in their next game.
