LANCERS FALL IN FOUR TO TOP TEAM

The Lancers put up a strong fight against the first place Georgian Grizzlies Saturday afternoon.

After dropping the first two sets, the home team extended the game with a hard fought third set 25-22 victory. Showing significant improvements in serve receive and defence, the Lancers kept the fourth set close early on, until the Grizzlies pulled away at the half way mark and ultimately took the set 25-18 to win the game.

Second year Lancer Pedro Casellatto led his team in scoring with 16 kills, 16 digs, 2 aces and a block for 19 points. Fellow team veteran Aaron Wilson continued to show his strength at the net with 4 blocks and countless touches that helped slow down the Grizzlies' strong offense.

Next up for the Lancers is a roadtrip to the Nation's capital to face the Algonquin Thunder and La Cite Coyotes on January 20th and 21st.
