Men's Soccer Lose Heartbreaker to Niagara

The St. Clair College men's soccer team lost a heartbreaker to the Niagara Knights at home on Saturday afternoon by a score of 1-0 at the Libro Centre in Amherstburg.

 

Neither team got on the scoreboard in the first half with play evenly distributed. Niagara did manage to hit a crossbar midway through the half. The Saints put one off the post early in the 2nd half on a nice header by Tyrone Mulder. Once again time of possession and chances were even in the 2nd half. The Knights scored the winner in the 83rd minute after a nice long pass that led to a breakaway for Niagara. Total shot attempts in the game were 13-13 while the shots on goal were in favour of the Knights by a margin of 7-6

 

With the lose the Saints fell to 0-3 on the season while Niagara improved to 2-0.

St. Clair is next in action on Tuesday when they travel to Hamilton to take on Mohawk at 7 pm
