The Lancers women and men's Volleyball teams were in action in the Lancerdome against the Algonquin Wolves. This was a big day for the Lancers as fans were welcomed back for the first time in almost two years.
The women played first and had an outstanding series. Sierra Scott turned in yet another standout perforamance while teammates Ally Brownlee and Erika Robertson has impressive matches of their own. The Lancers ctook the first set 25-15 and the second 26-24 in a close game after being down in the beginning. The next two sets were won by Algonquin with the game coming down to a fifth and final set. The Lancers had the opportunity to close out the game with a win but couldn't quite string it together and the Wolves pulled away with a 15-12 victory.
It was a great effort from the Lancers who are back in action against the La Cite Coyotes Sunday February 20th at 1 PM.
