Women's Volleyball Earn Hard Fought Win Over Sheridan

Windsor, ON - The St. Clair women's volleyball team continued their OCAA regular season schedule at home on Saturday night and came away with a hard fought 3-2 win over the Sheridan Bruins (Oakville).

Set scores for St. Clair were 26-28, 25-15, 25-19, 15-25 and 16-14. .The Saints battled back in the 5th set after being down 10-5. 2nd year outside hitter Amelia Oliverio (Windsor; St. Joseph's) had a big game with 13 kills and 11 digs. 3rd year outside hitter Te-Anna Stephenson (Whitby; Sinclair Secondary) had a great match as well with 17 kills, 2 stuff blocks, 1 service ace and 8 digs. Rookie middle Keyome Ellis (Toronto; Jean Vanier Catholic) had a solid game as well with 13 kills, 2 service aces, 1 stuff block and 2 digs.

With the win St. Clair improved to 5-1 while Sheridan fell to 1-5. The Saints are next in action on Sunday, November 24 when they host the Humber Hawks (Etobicoke) at 3 pm at the Sportsplex in their final home game of the semester.  St. Clair is ranked 3rd in Ontario while the Hawks are ranked 4th.
