The Loyalist Lancers suffered a straight-sets loss to the east division leaders Durham Lords (9-25, 17-25, 12-25) Wednesday evening.
Facing the 4th best team in the country, the Lancers knew they would be in a tough fight. The relentless attack by the Lords was something few teams in all of Canada could match. However, the Lancers came with several positive outcomes. Aingele Campbell-Stewart continues her strong defense with a team-high 9 digs and added 3 kills. Rachel Streekstra recorded an impressive 3 service aces against the nationally-ranked Lords.
The Lancers continue to push for a playoff position as it's coming down to crunch time. Your Lancers will have a busy weekend as they will travel to play Centennial on Saturday afternoon, then will have a quick turn around as they will host the La Cite Coyotes on Sunday afternoon.
