Knights Struggles Continue in 4-0 Loss to Falcons

October 2, 2022...WELLAND - The Niagara Knights men's soccer team's struggles continued Saturday afternoon in a 4-0 shutout by the visiting Fanshawe Falcons at Youngs Sportsplex.

The Falcons, who were 1-2-2 coming into Saturday's game, were looking to keep their momentum alive after securing their first win of the season against Redeemer on Tuesday night. The Knights were still searching for their first win since they defeated Lambton back on September 16th.

Fanshawe took advantage of a communication breakdown on the Knights D line, with Michael Sneddon popping one by Knights keeper Vinson Notarianni early on. Fanshawe would add two more before the half, including another from Sneddon to go up 3-0 on the Knights.

Sneddon would notch his third of the afternoon in the second half to secure a 4-0 win and keep Fanshawe's winning streak alive at two games.

Niagara will look ahead to their midweek match with Redeemer (1-4-1) at Dave Mantel field in Ancaster at 6:00pm, before returning home for their final home game at Youngs Sportspelx Friday night at 8:00pm.
