Wolves Men's Volleyball off to 3-0 Start

The Wolves Men's Volleyball team is currently tied for 1st place in the OCAA East division after a 3-0 start.  

Friday October 21st @ Durham 

Algonquin kicked off the season on the road in Oshawa.  After taking the 1st 2 sets 25-18 and 25-13, Durham rallied back to force a 5th set.  The Wolves would eventually come away with a 3 sets to 2 win to start their season off on the right foot. 4th year senior Jeff Commerford had an impressive season debut finishing with 12 kills and 6 aces.  

Saturday October 22nd @ Loyalist 

The team finished off the 1st road trip of the season in Belleville with a 3 set win over the Loyalist Lancers.  Commerford had another impressive game finishing with 7 kills and 3 aces. 2nd year sophmore Liam Arnold-Paquette also had a big game for Algonquin finishing with 5 kills, 2 aces and 3 blocks.  

Saturday October 29th @ La Cité

After starting the season 2-0, the team took the short trip to the East end of Ottawa to take on cross-town rival La Cité.  Algonquin would improve to 3-0 after a 3 set win.  Rookie Ryan Lincoln played an impressive game registering 9 kills and a kill % of .583.  

 

Algonquin will hit the road this weekend to take on the Seneca Sting on Friday at 8:00 PM and the Georgian Grizzlies on Saturday at 3:00 PM.  After 5 straight games on the road the team will finally return to the ARC on November 11th and 12th to take on the Durham Lords and the George Brown Huskies.
