Men's Volleyball End Semester with Big Win

Windsor, ON- The St. Clair College men's volleyball wrapped up their first half schedule with a much needed 3-0 win over the visiting Sheridan Bruins on Sunday afternoon at the Sportsplex.
Set scores for the Saints were 25-21, 25-21 and 25-21.
Fourth year outside hitter Michael Knight (LaSalle; Sandwich Secondary) led the way offensively with 10 kills, 1 stuff block, 3 service aces and 9 digs. Rookie outside hitter Frankie Friesen (Staples; Tilbury District) had a great game as well with 9 kills on 20 attempts, 2 service aces, 1 stuff block and 11 digs. Setter Zach Draper (London; Saunders Secondary) spread the ball around well picking up 27 assists in the match.
With the win the Saints improved to 3-6 on the season while Sheridan fell to 3-6. The Bruins are currently ranked 9th in the OCAA.
The Saints are now off for the exam and Christmas break and will return to OCAA league action on Saturday, January 12 when they travel to Toronto to take on the Humber Hawks.
