Men's Volleyball Drop Quarterfinal Thriller

The St. Clair Men's volleyball team narrowly missed out on qualifying for the OCAA Final Four Championship losing a thrilling quarterfinal match 3-2 to the Centennial Colts on Sunday afternoon in Scarborough.

Set scores for Centennial were 25-23, 24-26, 19-25, 25-21 and 15-12.

St. Clair was led by second year outside hitter Kale Wilkinson (Windsor; Riverside) with 16 kills, 1 service ace and 2 stuff blocks.  Third year middle Zach Walls (Amherstburg; Villanova) also had a big match with 8 kills on 11 attempts , 1 service ace, and 3 stuff blocks.

The Saints ended the regular season with a record of 13-5 and tied 2nd place in the West Division while the Colts were 14-4 and tied for 2nd in the East Division.

It was a recording breaking season for the St. Clair men winning the most regular season games ever and their highest placing in the standings for the program's history. The Saints also racked up some significant OCAA individual awards. St. Clair was ranked as high as first in Ontario and fifth in Canada late in the season.

The future is bright for the Saints with 13 of the 15 players on the roster expected to return including the starting seven along with some new recruits expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
