The No. 9 nationally ranked Mohawk Mountaineers jumped out to a 16-2 lead en route to a 106-66 victory over the Lambton Lions. It was the sixth time this season the Mountaineers have scored over the century mark.

Daniel Graham (Hamilton, ON) continued his hot scoring pace with a team-high 26 points and tying his career-high for seven threes in a game. Stefan Anisko (Haldimand County, ON) scored 13 of his 21 in the opening quarter.

Jerry Jr. Mercury (Scarborough, ON) picked up his seventh double-double with 23 points and 13 rebounds. Rommel Calura (Hamilton, ON) nearly had a triple-double with 5 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

Head coach Brian Jonker praised Mercury after the game and noted his importance to the team.

"His size is so important," Jonker said. "Defensively, the rebounding and the offense he provides, you could make the argument that he is the most important player we have."

Jonker was happy with how the team's depth stepped up and never let Lambton go on a run to trim the lead.

"We didn't anticipate anything like the game we played today," Jonker said. "We were battling a bunch of injuries and other issues. Lambton has been playing really well lately and we didn't expect to run away with it like we did."

The Mountaineers close out the season with three of their final four on the road, beginning with the Sheridan Bruins on Feb. 7 at 8 p.m.
