Women's Volleyball Win Sixth Straight Match

Windsor, ON - The St. Clair women's volleyball team continued their OCAA regular season schedule on Saturday afternoon and came away with a convincing 3-0 win over the Conestoga College Condors from Kitchener on Senior Day at the Sportsplex. The Saints honoured their graduating senior student athletes prior to the match.

Set scores for St. Clair were 25-10, 25-22, and 25-14.  Shalena Horst (Dutton; West Elgin) led the way for the Saints with 13 kills, 1 assist, 1 service ace, 2 stuff blocks and 4 digs. Second year outside hitter Amelia Oliverio  (Windsor; St. Joseph's) had a great match as well with 10 kills and 5 digs. Third year middle Kiana Gelissen (LaSalle; Sandwich Secondary) had a big game with 5 kills, 4 service aces and 3 stuff blocks.

With the win St. Clair's record improved to 12-3 while Conestoga dropped to 2-13. St. Clair is currently ranked 4th in Ontario and have won six straight matches to start off the second semester.

The Saints are next in action on Saturday, February when they travel to Ancaster to take on the Redeemer University Royals.
