Women's Volleyball Defeat Redeemer to Move to 11-1

Windsor, ON- The St. Clair College women's volleyball team continued their second semester OCAA regular season schedule with a solid 3-0 win over the Redeemer University Royals on Saturday afternoon at the Sportsplex.

Set scores for the Saints were 25-22, 25-14 and 25-17.

Second year outside hitter Te-Anna Stephenson (Whitby; Sinclair Secondary) led the way offensively with 14 kills, 1 stuff block, 1 service ace and 7 digs. Middle Jessica Masse (Cottam; Essex District) had a solid game as well with 8 kills on 14 attempts, 1 service ace and 1 stuff block. Setter Rileigh Davis (Georgetown; Georgetown District) spread the ball around well picking up 33 assists in the match along with 7 digs.

With the win the Saints improved to 11-1 on the season while Redeemer fell to 5-8. The Royals had won 5 of their last 6 coming into this match. St. Clair is ranked 2nd  in Ontario and 11th  in Canada.

The Saints are next in action on Wednesday night when they travel to London to take on the Fanshawe Falcons in a battle for first place in the OCAA West. The Falcons handed St. Clair their only loss of the season defeating the Saints 3-0 on October 31st in Windsor. Fanshawe is in 1st place in the OCAA West with a record of 11-0 and are ranked 1st in Ontario and 5th in Canada.
