January 13th, 2020 … WELLAND – The Niagara College Men's volleyball team improved to 7-3 with a 3-1 (25- 20, 15-25, 26-24, 25-20) win over the Saint Clair Saints (4-6) Saturday afternoon in Windsor.
The Knights and Saints met in their last match before the holidays that saw both teams take it to five sets, with the Saints getting the 3-2 win.
The Knights took set one 25-20 before allowing St. Clair to climb back in and take set two 25-15. With the pre-Christmas loss to St. Clair in the back of their minds from December, the Knights were not about to let the Saints claw all the way back into the match, finishing them off in the final two sets.
The blue and white were lead by Elijah Bugiardini (3rd year, Hamilton) with 16 points, followed by Sam Otten (5th year, Toronto) with 13 points.
Next up for the Knights will be a Thursday night home match-up against Mohawk College (7-4).
