Windsor, ON- The St. Clair College men's volleyball team continued their second semester OCAA regular season schedule as they hosted the Redeemer University Royals on Saturday afternoon at the Sportsplex.
A short-handed Saints squad played well after a slow start but came up short to the top ranked Royals losing 3-0. Set scores for Redeemer were 25-9, 25-21 and 32-30.
Frankie Friesen (Staples, Tilbury District) played well with 10 kills, and 2 digs. Michael Knight (LaSalle; Sandwich Secondary) had a solid game as well with 8 kills, 4 service aces and 7 digs.
With the loss the Saints fell to 3-9 on the season while Redeemer improved to 9-4. The Royals are ranked 3rd in Ontario and 11th in Canada. St. Clair still sits in the 8th and final playoff spot with 6 matches remaining.
The Saints are next in action on Wednesday night when they travel to London to take on the undefeated and 1st place Fanshawe Falcons.
