In an away doubleheader, Mohawk's offence struggled to produce as they dropped two close games to the Durham Lords, 4-0 and 6-2.

Game one saw Durham show a dominant pitching performance against the Mohawk hitters who were shutout. Michaela Walker (Dundas, ON) and Emma Harker (Brantford, ON) each had a hit for the Mountaineers in the game.

Jess Jamieson (Hamilton, ON) made her pitching debut and did not allow a hit or run in the final two innings.

Game two had Mohawk provide more offense as Harker had two more hits and Walker and Alexandria Humphrys (St. Mary's, ON) each added an RBI. But it would not be enough to match a strong Durham team.

The Mountaineers are back home at Mohawk Sports Park on Oct. 1 when they host the Humber Hawks at 2 p.m. and the Fanshawe Falcons at 4 p.m.
