Men’s Basketball Falter at Lambton

Sarnia, ON – The St. Clair College Men's Basketball team dropped a 98-78 decision in Sarnia Wednesday night to Lambton College falling below the .500 mark in the record column to 3-4 in the OCAA's West Division.

 

The Saints fell behind 27-18 after the first quarter but played even (23-23) with Lambton in the second trailing 50-41 at the break.  Lambton pulled away in the third quarter and stretched their lead to 26 points with under 7 minutes to go in the fourth.  St. Clair could only muster 33% shooting from the floor in the game as Lambton converted nearly 50% and out-rebounded the Saints 55-37 in the contest. 

 

Jalen Sykes (Redford, MI) scored 23 points to go with 8 rebounds to lead St. Clair in the game.  Saints forward Daelyn Davis (Romulus, MI) had one of his best games of the season scoring 18 points and added 12 rebounds for the double-double.  Ian Smart (Chatham, ON) and David Gomez Jr. (Pontiac, MI) each chipped in with 10 points apiece for the Saints.  

 

Tyvell Peters (Toronto, ON) scored a game high 28 points in the win for Lambton.

The St. Clair Men's Basketball team will finish the first half of their regular season schedule on the road at Humber College (Etobicoke) Dec. 1st followed by a trip to the University of Toronto (Mississauga) Dec. 2nd.
