Colts Trying to Begin New Streak

By: Pedro Casellatto

The Centennial Men's Volleyball team is back on the road. This Thursday, they will be travelling to Oshawa, where they take on the Durham Lords, at 8:00PM. The Colts had a sequence of positive performances, and they will be looking to add another win to the streak.

The Colts come off a win against the Canadore Panthers, with a great collective performance. They are looking to continue the momentum against the Durham Lords on their home soil. According to the Colts' right-side hitter, Gianluca Righetto, who led the team in kills last game, there has been good energy in practices. Righetto also mentioned, "We have been talking a lot to each other; for this game, our goal is to keep control and play block and defence like we are used to, stopping their strong offence."

The Lords have a record of 4-4 and will be looking to start a new winning streak after defeating the La Cite Coyotes this weekend. They are betting on a strong offensive system to not let the Colts create many opportunities.

After a great performance in North Bay, we hope the Colts can implement their strategy and show a consistent performance against the Lords, looking for the second win in a row and seventh win in the league.

Game time from the Campus Recreation & Wellness Centre is 8PM.
