The Storyline

No. 4 Humber women's basketball will continue its three-game homestand Wednesday evening when the Seneca Sting (0-3, 8th East) visit the North Campus Gym.

Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. and will be streamed live on the Hawks Sports Network.

The Matchup

The Hawks and Sting will be meeting in the regular season for the first time since 2007. Seneca has won six of the last seven meetings.

Last Time Out

Kia Watt dropped a career-high 25 points in Humber's 79-68 victory over Durham (1-3, 6th East) on Feb. 20. Senior Miea Campbell-Johnson recorded her third double-double of the season, scoring 19 points and grabbing a career-high 21 boards.

  • Shakiya Stephens is leading the squad in scoring, averaging 20 points per game - the fourth-best mark in the conference.
  • Tianna Leveridge's 11.7 rebounds per game are the fifth-best mark in the OCAA.
  • Humber is 15-8 all-time against Seneca at home during the regular season.
  • Seneca's last OCAA medal was a silver in 2012.

After a 4-0 start to the season, the Hawks have moved up to the fourth spot in the national rankings after opening the year at number 13.

Showtime

In her second season with the Hawks, Kia Watt is quietly putting together an incredible start to the season. The Toronto native is leading the league in 3-point percentage (60.0), assists-per-game (6.3), and is third in scoring (20.8). Watt needs nine points for 300 in her career. 

Timmies Run

Miea Campbell-Johnson recorded her 20th career double-double in the win over Durham and her 21 boards were the most by a Hawk since 2011. MCJ now sits third all-time in scoring at Humber and needs two rebounds to pass Chioma Oriuwa for third all-time in rebounds.

Led by sharpshooter Nikki Ylagan's league-best 18 triples, the Hawks are leading the conference with 44 3-pointers made at a league-high 34.1 per cent. 

At the Helm

In his tenth season as bench boss for the Hawks, Ajay Sharma owns a 185-28 career record.
