The Seneca Sting extended their home unbeaten streak to 36 games with a 1-0 win over the George Brown Huskies.
The win completed the home schedule for the Sting, who are now 6-0-2 and sit in the OCAA Central Division. The last home loss for the Sting was on October 15, 2009, a 3-1 loss to the Durham Lords.
Andrea Runco scored the lone goal for the Sting, her team-leading eighth goal in as many matches. The goal came in the 43rd minute.
Playing the second of four matches in a nine day stretch, the starters for the Sting played reduced minutes as the team looks to reach a fourth consecutive OCAA Championship Final.
The Sting travel to play the division-leading Humber Hawks (7-0-2) on Tuesday followed by a Thursday match with the U of T-Mississauga Eagles (0-6-1).
