SCARBOROUGH - Rashad Grant had an important goal, while Haruto Tomioka stood tall in net as the Centennial Colts knocked off the Cambrian Golden Shields 3-1 on Sunday Afternoon.

The Colts (4-5-1) conclude their season on a high note, dictating the pace of the game and overpowering a visiting Cambrian side.

For the Golden Shields (1-8-1), their season concludes despite a valiant late flurry on the Colts that nearly saw them steal the victory and tie the game late.

Grant, one of a handful of graduating senior students celebrated prior to the match, was unstoppable on the pitch, wiring nearly half a dozen balls towards the net and constantly using his speed to outwit defenders.

"I tried to utilize my skills, which is my strength, my speed," Grant said after his final match. "I was asked to try to run behind, so that's what I tried to do."

Head Coach David Lattavo had high praise for his dynamic striker, as well as the rest of their team, following the emphatic victory at Progress Campus.

"Happy for the guys that are finishing their last game at home and last game of the season," Lattavo said. "We're really happy that they got the result today."
