Colts Get Revenge With Win Over Knights

The Centennial Colt's men's volleyball team tallied their fourth win of the new year with their 3-1 victory over Fleming College night last Saturday night.

The Colts benefited from the hard-hitting new addition to the squad in Lionnis Salazar who helped power Centennial to three set wins, finishing the first set 25-20, the third set 25-22, and sealing the deal with a 25-22 victory in the fourth.

Salazar scored nine kills and four service aces while also contributing on defense by registering a team-high 11 digs on the night.

The Cuban's offensive stat line was matched by Colts veterans Brendan Chau and Alex Smith who also recorded 9 kills.

Coach Adriana Bento admired the way her team played but had high praise for Smith, the second-year Colt.

"Alexander Smith changed the game. He shows energy in his actions. He brings the team back to the game many times without saying one word."

When asked what her squad could improve on the answer was simple; "we made too many errors."
