VAUGHAN - With rainfall and 44km/hr winds, the Hawks were playing in tough conditions for their first home game of the 2021 season. The Hawks hosted Seneca, last facing them in 2019 where they lost in the semifinal round of the provincial championship. Unfortunately, history repeated itself.

Humber was undefeated in their last 14 home games until today. Their last home loss was also against Seneca in 2016.

In the last minute of the first half, a cross from the Sting gave Olivia Lamacchia a goal and put Seneca ahead right before the break.

Despite trailing, Humber dominated the second half, but Seneca keeper Raven Edwards was up to the task, making six saves over the final 45 minutes.

In the 73rd minute, Seneca's Sydnie Street shot from deep outside the 18-yard box snuck past the outstretched arms of Fiore, securing the victory for Seneca, 2-0.
