Colts in Tough Against Sting

By: Ryan Watson

After a soul-lifting win on Wednesday, the Colts women's volleyball team couldn't keep their magic alive as they fell to the Seneca College Sting in straight sets on Friday, dropping all three sets 15-25, 14-25 and 17-25 in their loss.

Centennial managed a team total of 15 kills, compared to Seneca's 31.

Alia Ricciardelli was responsible for five of those 15, while Farana Rouhi Maleki was to thank for another five.

The game just didn't go the Colt's way, with their only lead coming in the second set when they scored the first point of the frame off an ace from team captain Sophia Clement.

The Colts sit at a 3-8 record on the year, while Seneca improves to 7-4.

The Colts, both the Men and the Women, are back in action on the road on Wednesday, January 18th, where they take on the Georgian College Grizzlies.
