VAUGHAN – Needing a win to advance to the championship tournament and defend its provincial title, No. 3 Humber men's soccer blanked Conestoga in the quarter-final round, 5-0. Marcos Nunes paced the way with a hat trick, as the Hawks (6-0-1) secured their tenth consecutive trip to the OCAA final four.

In the tenth minute, Jacob Rodrigues intercepted a pass from a Conestoga defender and chipped the ball over to a streak Abdul Babawale. Babawale then made a nice pass to Nunes at the top of the box, who buried his first of the match, beating the diving keeper to the left side.

Less than ten minutes later, Nunes scored his second of the match when Federico Leal's free-kick was saved by the keeper but the rebound deflected to him in the box for the easy tap-in.

Humber went into the break with a two-goal lead, dominating the pace of play while outshooting the Condors, 12-3.

Looking to put the match out of reach, Leaford Allen found a streaking Nunes in the 65th minute, who split two defenders and buried his third goal of the match.

With less than 15 minutes remaining, Luca Uccello assisted on the final two Humber goals, finding Karamvir Mehmi and Leaford Allen, as the Hawks went on to win, 5-0.
