In two seasons with the Cambrian Golden Shield badminton team, Glendon Thomas has proven himself a dominant force.

In the 2003-04 season, Glendon and his partner Stacey Michaels repeated as OCAA mixed doubles gold medalists and CCAA mixed doubles champions. Individually, he has been named a CCAA badminton all-Canadian twice and an OCAA athlete of the week.

Glendon exemplifies what being a student-athlete is all about, as he has twice earned CCAA academic all-Canadian and OCAA all-academic awards.

Cambrian College coach Rob McCann noted, "Glendon is a very easily coached athlete who will attempt new suggestions and will try anything to improve his game. He leads by example in a most boisterous way and will take team members aside and encourage and demonstrate new skills with different strategies. Glendon is respectful of his opponents in both victory and defeat, and is totally focused on the game at hand."
