Diesel Szuky was provided an opportunity and delivered. Called on to pinch hit in the seventh inning with the Sheridan Bruins trailing by one run, Diesel was clutch, pulling a lead off double down the left field line to ignite a two-run rally that ultimately led to a 2-1 victory over the St. Clair Saints on Oct. 5, Sheridan's first-ever over the perennial OCAA powerhouse. The rookie capped off a successful western road swing for the Bruins, winning two of three games at first-place Lambton and defending OCAA champion St. Clair to improve to 6-9.
