Kelowna, BC – The St. Clair Saints Football team (10-1) suffered from a tale of two halves and ended their season in the Canadian Junior Football League National semi-final game dropping a 34-19 decision to the Okanagan Sun (13-0) at Apple Bowl Stadium in Kelowna Saturday afternoon.
Mount Hope, ON – The St. Clair College Men’s Cross-Country team were led by rookie runner Brendan Currie (LaSalle, ON/St. Thomas of Villanova) at the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association Provincial Championships which were hosted by Mohawk College (Hamilton) on Saturday at Marydale Park in Mount Hope, ON. The Men’s team were back on the podium with a Silver Medal result while Currie achieved the same individual honour after finishing only 23 seconds from the top spot.
Tecumseh, ON – The St. Clair College Men’s Baseball team made an upset run at their 10th and 5th consecutive OCAA Championship title this weekend but fell just short after two narrow defeats in the gold medal round ultimately settling for the Silver in front of their home fans at Lacasse Park in Tecumseh.
Etobicoke, ON – The St. Clair College Women's Softball team turned in a Silver Medal performance at the OCAA Provincial Championship which was played at Etobicoke’s Connorvale Park this weekend who pushed host Humber Polytechnic to the limit after forcing a second game in the gold medal round Saturday afternoon.
Windsor, ON – The St. Clair College Women’s Softball team ended their exhibition schedule this past weekend with a home and home split going 2-2 over four games with the University of Windsor Club program. The Lancers hosted a pair Friday evening at Mic Mac Park with the Saints dropping the opener 3-2 in eight innings but then rebounded for a 7-2 victory. The 4-game set finished Sunday at the St. Clair SportsPark which saw more competitive action with the Saints falling 6-4 before prevailing 5-4 in eight innings.
London, ON – The St. Clair Saints Football team moved to 4-0 with a 62-27 win over the Beefeaters at City Wide Sports Park in London Friday night. St. Clair is the top ranked team in the Canadian Junior Football League and sit atop the Ontario Football Conference standings.
Waterloo, ON – The St. Clair College Men’s Baseball team travelled to Waterloo on Friday and came away with an exhibition split against the OUA’s Wilfrid Laurier University winning 9-5 before losing 6-2.
Hamilton, ON – The St. Clair College Women’s Softball team started their exhibition schedule and went 3-1 this past weekend which was good enough to claim the Mohawk College Tournament played at the Margaret Koropatnicki Softball Complex in Hamilton.
