Paul Stafford played three seasons for Humber College in the late 1980s, winning the OCAA men's hockey championship each time. The Hawks earned one CCAA silver medal and was twice awarded bronze during Stafford's tenure.

The defenceman was named an OCAA League First-Team All-Star his final two seasons, and was named a CCAA All-Canadian in 1988-89. Paul was named a CCAA Tournament All-Star in 1989-90.

Stafford scored 19 goals and assisted on 84 others in his three OCAA seasons, totaling 104 total points.

Paul is a member of the Humber Varsity Hall of Fame, and has had his No. 6 jersey retired. He was Humber's Athlete of the Year in 1988-89.

Stafford is a member of the OCAA Men's Hockey All-Millennium team.
