Rick Bendera was with the OCAA in the mid-1980s.

He served four years on the OCAA Executive Committee; as President in 1981-82 and 1982-83, and Past President and Chair of the Constitution Committee in 1983-84 and 1984-85.

In 1995, Rick Bendra was honoured by the OCAA with the presentation of a Shield Award.
